Federal-Mogul looking for auto f…

Federal-Mogul Motorparts is bringing back is annual #PartsMatter sweepstakes.

The company behind Moog, Jurid, Wagner, and other automotive parts, says 12 auto-related fails each month will qualify for gift cards between US$100 and US$500. It is open to consumer throughout Canada and the U.S. and runs until October.

Consumers can go to www.partsmatter.com and share their photos or brief stories about their vehicle’s troubles as a way to communicate the importance of selecting the best replacement parts when it comes to vehicle repair.

“Consumers have many choices when it comes to selecting replacement parts for their vehicles,” said Laura Soave, senior vice president and chief marketing and communications officer at Federal-Mogul Motorparts. “The #PartsMatter campaign was established to remind consumers to protect themselves from the potential risks associated with inferior parts. Many of these parts might look quite similar to a high-quality product from a trusted brand, but there can be dramatic differences in performance reliability and even safety.”

The sweepstakes will award 10 $100 gift cards at random to participants who have shared qualifying photos or brief stories documenting vehicle-related fails. Two monthly grand prize winners – one for each of best story and best photo, based on relevance to the #PartsMatter theme, creativity and originality, and overall quality of entry – will get a $500 gift card.

In 2016, almost 6,000 entries were shared.
