Programmable Digital Ignition

The MSD Programmable 6AL-2 (PN 6530) is a new digital ignition designed for the street and strip. The ignition delivers multiple sparks and strong capacitive discharge power; modern components efficiently produce nearly 23% spark energy and voltage improvements of 15% (135mJ and 535 primary volts). The ignition delivers laptop programming, giving total control over timing curve, rev limits, and more. Programming is via PC and MSD’s Pro-Data+ software that makes it easy to map out a timing curve, boost timing map, and a variety of performance building controls. The ignition connects to a distributor through breaker points, amplifiers, and even Hall-effect pickups.
