Halton Group Acquired by Fellow Pronto Member

Brewer’s Car Parts Plus, with stores in Cambridge, Kitchener, and Brantford, Ont., has acquired Halton Automotive Electric, with stores in Brantford, Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton, and the IMDA Automotive Warehouse.

The acquisition was finalized October 1. The Halton Group, as it was known, was acquired from owner John Bloom, who founded the business in 1976 and says the organization is in good hands under the new owner.

“Brewer’s is an ACDelco WD and fellow member of our U. S. buying group, National Pronto Association,” says Bloom.

“I know in talking to John Brewer that it is not his intent to dismantle the company, but rather continue to transform and grow our company into an organization that will be a leader in the aftermarket. Brewer’s is committed to innovation in all aspects of our business.”

Priorities include improving the technology infrastructure of the Halton Group including installing fibre optic lines for transfer of information, the latest in computerized sales and inventory technology, and the latest in computerized telephone technology.
