Eccles Auto smashes cars for cha…

It was a good day for everyone unless you were a Mercedes-Benz E550 at the Eccles Auto Charity Car Smash.

The shop in Dundas, Ontario, near Hamilton, hosted its third Charity Car Smash event on June 7 to raise money for Margaret’s Place Hospice, following previous smashes held in 2019 and 2024.

Attendees got to take their swings at the vehicle, raising almost $1,100, bringing the total raised from all events to more than $4,000.

The hospice, which opened in 2021 and is run by the St. Joseph’s Villa Foundation, received a donation of $10,000 from Eccles Auto during fundraising for the building.

The shop also supports the foundation’s Hike the Valley event and annual golf tournament. It also backs the Catch the Ace program, which supports the foundation as well as the local Legion, to which Eccles Auto has donated up to $3,000.

Please see photos from the event below.
