VL Communications has added a new customer-retention module to its AB Magique software.

The module allows garage owners to choose a variety of mailings to do things like thank a new customer for their business, remind existing customers about upcoming service work, or let them know about retail specials.

Shops will be able to send these messages by e-mail or by traditional mail thanks to a business deal with Canada Post.

According to the company, this new module represents substantial economic benefits for the shop.

“An adequate client follow-up promotes a privileged link between the company and its valued customers,” a press release from VL Communications states.

The Laval, Que.-based software developer specializes in programs for repair shops, tire shops, and automobile parts stores.

According to the company, AB Magique is currently the only software for workshops offering Multiple Window Interface (MDI), allowing users to jump from a window to another, or open them all, simultaneously.
