Toyota Canada Amends Safety Improvement Campaign

Toyota Canada Inc. announced that it will include two models in its safety improvement campaign to address the potential for unsecured or incompatible floor mat entrapment of the accelerator pedal.  The models added are:

• 2010 RX350 (approximately 12,720 vehicles) and
• 2010 RX450h (approximately 1,758 vehicles)

Certain vehicle-based modifications will be available at no cost to customers. A properly secured Canadian genuine Lexus floor mat designed for the 2010 RX350 or 2010 RX450h can be used with confidence.  Today’s announcement provides additional measures against unsecured or incompatible floor mats.

Owners will be notified by first class mail August 2012.
