SHAD’S R&R TOPS $4 MILLION FOR MD RESEARCH

The automotive aftermarket's annual charity golf tournament adds another $160,000 for muscular dystrophy research in its 40th year.

Directors of Shad’s R&R pose for a celebratory photo at Station Creek Golf Club in Gormley, Ontario. The annual event was held Thursday, and drew hundreds of golfers from across Canada and the United States.

Catherine Sharrard, CEO of Muscular Dystrophy Canada, receives the cheque for $160,000 from members of the Shad’s R&R board. She said thanks to ongoing research into the chronic disease, people are able to live better, longer, and more active lives.
