At SEMA’s annual New Products Awards breakfast, Pirelli’s Cinturato P7 All-Season Plus was named the “Best New Tire and Related Product” of 2012.
The ‘New Products Awards’ is held each year honoring the most innovative and cutting edge automotive products in 16 different categories. These include products that are currently on the market or about to be introduced. A panel of judges reviews each submission for quality and craftsmanship, technical achievement, marketability and consumer appeal.
The Cinturato P7 All Season Plus is the latest addition to Pirelli’s Cinturato family alongside the Cinturato P7, the very first environmentally friendly high-performance tire line for touring and luxury touring cars. The new P7 All Season Plus was developed by
Pirelli’s engineers with the objective of providing one tire for all seasons that further improved the safety and ecological characteristics of the Cinturato P7 for the replacement market without compromising the performance that has taken the P7 to the top of its class as an original equipment fitment.
CINTURATO P7 ALL SEASON PLUS FEATURES:
15% reduction in rolling resistance compared to previous Pirelli A/S reference =
2-3% savings in fuel consumption
Silica based tread compound for 47% better mileage = longer tread life. Backed by a 70,000 mile limited tread wear warranty
Highly Aromatic Oil Free Compound and 6% less raw materials to support
Pirelli’s commitment to the environment
Optimized asymmetric tread design = 5% reduction in road noise
“We at Pirelli are very proud of the team effort that brought about this accomplishment, which demonstrates Pirelli’s commitment to Green Performance is not only a serious objective, but also one where we are at the top of the game,” remarked Paolo Ferrari, chairman and CEO of Pirelli’s NAFTA Region. “It is quite an honor to be recognized by the SEMA organization when more than 2,000 products were submitted for consideration this year.”
The Cinturato P7 All-Season Plus was introduced to media in Austin, Texas last week in conjunction with the Circuit of the Americas inauguration. The tire will be available to the public in early 2013.
