Moss returns as CARS chair, NACE gets new point-man

Bill Moss returning as chairman of the Congress of Automotive Repair and Service. Dan Stander is the incoming NACE chairman. Both events part of Automotive Repair & Service week to be held in Las Vegas in October.

Bill Moss will return for a second term as the event chairman of the Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) when it gets underway Oct. 16-19 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV.

Moss, owner of EuroService Automotive in Warrenton, Va., was event chairman for the 2012 event in New Orleans.

CARS is the ‘mechanical’ part of Aftermarket Service and Repair Week (ASRW) held in the U.S. each fall. The International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE) is the ‘collision’ side of the equation.

On the collision side, Dan Stander of Fix Auto Highlands Ranch in Littleton, Colo., is the incoming NACE chairman, taking over for Ron Nagy who has concluded his two-year term.

The Automotive Service Association (ASA) is the sponsor of ASRW and two of its shows, NACE and CARS. ASA is the largest international not-for-profit trade association of its kind dedicated to and governed by independent automotive service and repair professionals.

ASA advances professionalism and excellence in the automotive industry through education, legislative representation and member services.
