Hankook Tire Canada is thrilled to sponsor the 2012 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship in Alberta (WJHC). Starting December 26, 2011, Hankook will join Canadians nation-wide as they cheer on our Junior Team in their quest for gold.


Hankook Tire Canada is thrilled to sponsor the 2012 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship in Alberta (WJHC). Starting December 26, 2011, Hankook will join Canadians nation-wide as they cheer on our Junior Team in their quest for gold.

“Hankook Tire supports the growth and development of young hockey players in Canada,” said Bill Hume, vice-president, Hankook Tire Canada. “We are proud to sponsor the IIHF World Junior

Championship, complementing our ongoing support of Hockey Canada.  The tournament gives talented players the opportunity to realize their dreams and compete on a world stage.”  

As part of Hankook’s ongoing effort to support and connect with grassroots sports, the WJHC sponsorship represents a great opportunity to connect with Hockey fans across Canada.  Hankook Tire will have significant brand presence at the World Junior Championships, including promotional nights, special contests, and events leading up to the tournament.

Ten countries around the world including Canada, Russia, U.S.A., Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, Denmark, Switzerland, Slovakia, and Latvia, will participate in the 2012 IIHF World Junior Championship. Games will be played between Rexall Place in Edmonton and the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, where the gold-medal game is set for January 5, 2011.
