GM November numbers are down from last year

Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers delivered 17,951 vehicles in November 2011. The total of GM sales (including discontinued brands) decreased by 10.9 per cent compared to last November.

"While November sales were below our expectations, the recent launch of the Chevrolet Volt, Sonic and Orlando continue to build excitement with Canadian customers for the transformed Chevrolet vehicle line-up," said Marc Comeau, vice-president of sales, service and marketing at GM of Canada. "The Chevrolet Cruze, Canadian Car of the Year, continues to win new customers and is Chevrolet’s best-selling car."

* The Canadian-built Buick Regal increased sales 39.5%.

* Chevrolet delivered 10,610 vehicles in November. Chevrolet Cruze delivered 2,256 units, a 72.5 per cent increase.

*  GMC delivered 6,018 vehicles, an increase of 2.8 per cent led by full size pickups and utilities.

* Cadillac CTS sport sedans were up 10.7 per cent

Total GM sales (including discontinued brands) decreased by 10.9 per cent compared to last November.
