Gates Corporation announced it has established a dedicated presence on several social media channels to encourage ongoing dialogue with customers throughout the automotive aftermarket distribution channel including the launch of the Gates Automotive Solutions (GAS) forum, a free online resource (www.GatesGAS.com) where automotive service technicians and the Gates team of ASE Certified Technicians share information about automotive aftermarket products within the belts, hose and hydraulics categories The growing demand for immediate access to relevant content led Gates to also create interactive YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Flickr pages.
Discussion topics at the GAS forum include the accessory belt drive system, the timing belt drive system, coolant hose, fuel hose, water pumps, fleet and heavy-duty, hydraulic hose and couplings, powersports and recreation, racing products, and lawn and garden equipment. After registering to participate in the forum, users may post a new topic or add a reply to an existing discussion within the forum categories. Guests are also allowed access to the content at any time.
Facebook and Twitter offer fans and followers quick hits of timely automotive aftermarket information, auto tips and trivia, industry news, event updates, downloadable resources and more. On Facebook, visitors also find training information and a link to a dedicated Gates Automotive Aftermarket Training page.
A photostream on Flickr allows Gates to share images of Gates-sponsored race teams, Gates Centennial celebrations and automotive industry conferences and expos.
