Delphi Appoints Craig Barnes as Vice-President for Global Independent Aftermarket

Delphi Product & Service Solutions announced that Craig Barnes will join Delphi as vice-president of the global independent aftermarket, effective July 1, 2012. Barnes was the former senior vice-president of merchandising, pricing, global sourcing, marketing, and inventory & demand planning at CARQUEST, a leading automotive aftermarket distributor in North America.

Barnes will be responsible for growing the global independent aftermarket business with a strong focus on the customer with regard to all aspects of the business including parts, diagnostics and service solutions.

Prior to joining CARQUEST in 2009, Craig served as vice-president of merchandising for brake systems, undercar, global sourcing and quality for AutoZone, Inc., a retailer and a leading distributor of automotive replacement parts and accessories with more than 4,800 stores in the US, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. During his more than 20 year career at AutoZone, Craig progressed from counter sales to vice president. He served as a store manager, transportation manager, category manager, and director of merchandising, prior to his appointment as vice-president in 2004.
