Ottawa, ON – The two winners of the “Take the Time to Fill Up your Tank” contest, launched by Be Car Care Aware to promote their “Stress Management” theme of May’s Car Care Month, were announced on July 7th, 2010 at the AIA National Office in Ottawa.
In an effort to increase awareness and promote proper vehicle maintenance, the Be Car Care Aware program launched the “Take the Time to Fill Up Your Tank” contest on April 30th. The contest was geared at shop owners, to encourage their customers to sign up for the seasonal BCCA E-tips Newsletter. The contest closed on June 30th, 2010.
In keeping with the “Stress Management” theme of May, the contest prizes are aimed at de-stressing consumers, and their cars. The contest had two winners. The first, a participating shop who submitted 10 e-mail addresses or more for the BCCA E-tips seasonal newsletter, was eligible to win a $500 gift certificate at Best Buy and a copy of the Be Car Care Aware “Car Care Minutes” DVD. The winner of this prize: Fafard Alignement, located in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Fafard Alignement is a family-owned business, operated by Michel and Pauline Fafard with the help of their three sons, Michel, Dominic and Sébastien, who all have important roles in the organization.The second prize-winner, Maryse Dufour, who submitted her e-mail address, was eligible to win a $100 gift certificate at Home Depot or Way Spa as well as a “Spa Package” for their car, provided by BCCA sponsor AutoGlym, valued at $200. Mrs. Dufour chose the gift certificate at Home Depot.
