CARDONE Industries, Inc. of Philadelphia, PA is pleased to announce that effective January 3, 2011, Michael Cardone III, was promoted to the position of President, CARDONE Industries, succeeding Frederick Vanstone who was recently appointed Vice Chairman of the Board. Michael is the third generation of the Cardone family to serve as President of the company.
Michael brings with him a full range of experience. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, where he had responsibility over North America and other key export markets, and Chief of Staff, where he led Global Strategic Planning. He also served as Director of World Trade, Marketing Manager of Pumps Division and Manager of Market Development. Among his key accomplishments are the startup of CARDONE Industries businesses in Europe and Mexico. Michael is a graduate of Oral Roberts University and holds an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors for two nonprofit organizations, WorldServe International, and the Cardone Foundation.
Effective January 3, 2011, David Wohleen joined CARDONE’s executive leadership team as Chief Operating Officer. Dave is a senior automotive leader with extensive experience in developing and leading large global businesses. He began his career in the automotive industry as a project engineer in the Pontiac Motor Division and steadily progressed to the position of Vice President, General Manager of the Delco Electronics Division for General Motors. Most recently, Dave served as Vice Chairman, Growth Markets, Research and Development of the Delphi Corporation. Dave has a B.S. Degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York, and he also completed a Management Executive Training Program at Yale School of Management.
