The Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) is making its popular “Lift It Right” safety course available online, with a subscription model that allows everyone in the shop to get training as often as needed throughout the year.
Standard pricing for the course is $16 per participant. But there is now a new student rate of $10 per person, and a facility-wide subscription for $240 per year.
The facility subscription is designed to help larger facilities train new employees, providing a significant cost savings, and simplified payment.
“For more than 70 years, ALI has been dedicated to keeping lift operators safe on the job,” says ALI president Bob O’Gorman. “Everyone should have access to training on the proper use and care of vehicle lifts, and we believe that our Lifting It Right manuals and online course have helped save lives and prevent injuries. By making the online course more accessible, we hope to help protect even more people.”
Lifting It Right covers proper lifting practices for all types of vehicle lifts. The online course can be taken on a computer or mobile device. Most people finish it in an hour or less. At the end, a certificate of completion is stored online for easy access if a shop needs to produce training records.
Lifting It Right is available at the ALI website. Once registered, the trainee can take up to 90 days to successfully complete the program, including an online test.
Founded in 1945, the Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) is a trade association of North American-based lift manufacturers. ALI’s mission is to promote the safe design, construction, installation, service, inspection and use of automotive lifts.
