Schaeffler has expanded its Luk TorCon torque converter product line with the release of the TorCon 4L60E, engineered to last up to five times longer than rebuilt alternatives.
Designed to simplify the replacement process, the TorCon 4L60E eliminates the need for model-specific cores often required in torque converter rebuilding. It is manufactured in-house from raw materials to final assembly, ensuring consistent quality and availability for distributors and installers.
The converter features Luk friction materials and INA premium thrust bearings, along with fully furnace-brazed fins for improved heat dissipation and durability. A contamination-free manufacturing process includes full pressure and lockup testing, plus precision balancing to meet rigorous standards.
Compatible with select 1999–2014 General Motors trucks, vans, and SUVs equipped with 4L60E transmissions, the TorCon (TC0018) covers multiple engines and offers a current VIO of over 5.8 million.
