Mohawk College Recruiting For Pre-Apprenticeship Program

Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ont., is now recruiting for the new Auto Body Repairer and Collision Damage Repairer Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program.

This 30-week full-time training program, offered at the STARR T Institute (Stoney Creek), will commence May 25, 2010 and run until December 17, 2010.

Program highlights include:

• 10 weeks trade calculations and estimating, trade science/communications/exploration;

• 12 weeks auto body repairer and damage repairer apprenticeship training, health and safety certification training and employment preparation;

• eight weeks of work experience.

There is a tuition subsidy program and toolkit for students who meet the program eligibility criteria. The seat capacity for the course is 22 students.
