Appointments (May 01, 2004)

Rick Miller, president and general manager of The E.R.I. Group, has announced the addition of Moe J. Jabouri to the E.R.I. staff.

Jabouri will hold the position of assistant to the president with E.R.I. Engine Rebuilders Inc., and general manager of Independent Parts Warehousing Inc.

Jabouri’s background in the motive power industry is extensive. In 1982, he started as owner of ERI Member #7, Crankshaft Service and Supply Ltd., and then became district manager for G.C. Downing division of Consolidated Parts Distributors. He served as assistant plant manager at Central Precision Ltd. and was with the Traction Division of UAP. He moved from there to Toromont Industries as manager of the Remanufacturing Division, and most recently served as general manager of Diesel Distribution Canada Inc.

NGK Spark Plugs Canada Limited has announced several appointments to its sales force. Greg Phoenix has been appointed western regional manager, looking after Western Canada from Victoria, B.C. to Manitoba. Dale McIlveen has been named district manager Southern Alberta, Southern Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Brad Thomas has been named district manager Central Ontario.

Matt O’Brien, president Traditional Automotive and Heavy Duty, Grant Brothers Sales Limited, has announced the appointment of Louis Mottet as regional sales manager, Qubec. Mottet brings extensive background in the Qubec automotive aftermarket, having recently been employed by Cooper Automotive. He will be developing the GBS business in the province of Qubec along with the sales team of Ouimet and Bouchard.

Philips Automotive Lighting North America, a division of Philips Electronics North America, has announced the appointment of David H. Davoudi as vice president and general manager. Davoudi will manage all aspects of lighting market operations. In addition, Davoudi will oversee all business channels within North America.
