Show Reports: Equip Auto Brings 120,000 to Paris

The Equip Auto 2001 exhibition in Paris, France, welcomed 123,800 visitors late last year, with the notable participation of some Canadian companies.

Exhibiting from Canada were the Dominion Sure Seal Group, Engenuity Technologies Inc., Roto-Tech Automotive Industries, Ultra Violet Systems, And UView Ultraviolet Systems Inc.

The show is the only international event that brings together the entire automotive industry, from design through to maintenance, according to the organizers.

While most such shows focus on one aspect of the automotive industry, Equip Auto includes sections for OEM suppliers, service equipment, product design, aftermarket parts and accessories, etc.

In the Grand Prix competition, the aftermarket category awards went to Valeo for its Silencio wiper blade, Hella for its wireless lighting control, and the Peugeot Bodywork Maintenance system.
