Vehicle Carbon Monoxide Alarm

Vehicle Carbon Monoxide Alarm

While most people don’t think about it, the car is a riskier place for carbon monoxide (CO) exposure than the home. Even low levels of CO can affect a driver’s reaction time and judgement and, because CO is odorless and colorless, you probably will never know when you’ve been exposed to dangerous levels. The COSTAR P-1 personal CO alarm is small (8.9 cm x 6.4 cm x 2.5 cm), light (200 grams), and mounts with Velcro or a clip on a vehicle’s visor, belt or can be dropped into a pocket. The unit is equipped with a microcontroller which self-tests every 10 minutes. Its sensor system is designed to operate from -40 deg. C to 70 deg. C.
