B.C. reintroduces Clean Energy Vehicle…

B.C. reintroduces Clean Energy Vehicle (CEVforBC) incentive program

The Clean Energy Vehicle for BC (CEV for BC) incentive program will provide BC residents with up to $5,000 off the pre-tax sticker price for qualifying new battery electric, fuel-cell electric, and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and up to $6,000 for a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. Combined with the recently announced incentive program from SCRAP-IT, purchasers of a new electric can stack each offer to potentially save up to $8,250 when a dealer point of sale incentive is added.

“The CEVforBC program, along with the recently announced incentive program from SCRAP-IT will provide the vehicle purchasing public with more choices,” said Blair Qualey, president and CEO of the New Car Dealers Association of BC (NCDA). “The Association, on behalf of its dealer members has advocated for purchase incentives based on feedback from the public and we applaud government for acting in such a positive manner.“

The program will be administered by the New Car Dealers Association of BC and will begin April 1, 2015.
