Gates First to the Aftermarket with DEF Hose

Gates has introduced a new line of Diesel Emissions Fluid (DEF) hose and heated assemblies to the aftermarket.

Gates’ initial offering includes six HotLine Heated Hose Assemblies. These hoses help limit the environmental impact of harmful emissions. DEF is susceptible to contamination and cold, so the DEF system is specially designed to keep the fluid temperature above freezing. The Gates design exceeds OEM requirements and improves performance by providing quick and consistent heating.

DEF is now required on 2010 and newer diesel engines to meet the EPA emissions standards that went into effect related to the release of noxious nitrogen oxide gas (NOx).
