Champion launches “Save Like A Champion” rebate program

Champion automotive spark plugs and glow plugs from Federal-Mogul now come with an additional consumer incentive: mail-in rebates of up to $40 on qualifying plug purchases.

Running July 1 through November 30, Federal-Mogul’s “Save Like a Champion” promotion enables consumers to receive up to $40 in mail-in rebates by purchasing Champion Iridium, Champion Double Platinum Power, Champion Platinum Power and Champion Copper Plus spark plugs and/or Champion glow plugs. Federal-Mogul is offering a $2.50 rebate on each Champion Iridium plug; $2 on Champion Double Platinum Power, Champion Platinum Power and Champion glow plugs; and 50 cents on each Champion Copper Plus plug. A rebate limit of $40 per person and/or household applies.

Champion has made it easy for consumers to submit and track rebates through its rebate website. Rebate submissions must be postmarked within 14 days of purchase.

“Spark plugs are vital in keeping engines running at peak efficiency,” said Champion brand manager Ann Skrycki-Mohler. “Automotive spark plugs fire millions of times each year and when a vehicle isn’t running properly or its fuel efficiency is dropping, it might be time to replace worn spark plugs. Consumers should look in their vehicle owner’s manuals to find out how often their spark plugs need to be changed and, when necessary, replace worn plugs with a quality brand like Champion. By relying on Champion, consumers can help restore engine power and efficiency while saving money through this special offer.”

Premium Champion Iridium spark plugs feature a fine-wire iridium center electrode and the brand’s exclusive Heat-Active alloy, designed for maximum performance and long life.

Champion Double Platinum Power spark plugs are equipped with two platinum conductors and the Heat-Active alloy, and can be used in virtually any domestic or foreign-nameplate engine.

The company says the single platinum conductor in Champion Platinum Power plugs helps provide better ignitability and smoother idle under a wide range of operating conditions. The brand’s Copper Plus spark plugs feature nickel alloy center and ground electrodes.

Champion says its glow plugs are engineered to help today’s diesel engines start faster and more quickly reach optimal operating temperatures for enhanced efficiency and performance.
