iATN introduces new features

iATN introduces new features

The world’s largest network of automotive technicians has rolled out an entirely new public-facing web site.

The International Automotive Technicians’ Network (iATN) says it has redesigned key features “to be more accessible to potential new members.”

A new Auto Repair Shop Finder was designed to make it more customer-friendly. Optimized for both desktop and mobile use, the Auto Repair Shop Finder is intended as a way for customers to locate a repair shop near them.

“This area of iATN highlights our Business Premium Members,” says an iATN press release, “and we will be working hard to promote it to consumers.”

Because many members of iATN also have subscriptions to the company’s sister site, Identifix Direct-Hit, there are now more ways for iATN members to use both resources, through a feature called Identifix Link. It allows iATN members to more easily reach related resources on Identifix.

Clicking the red "Search Identifix" link in the Message Controls box brings members directly to the search results on Identifix for the specific vehicle they’re currently viewing on iATN.

In addition, when viewing a closed TechHelp, there is now an Identifix Link to the Related Documents & Media section, below the TechHelp replies area. Expanding that box reveals related resources on iATN for that specific vehicle, as well as related resources on Identifix, including OEM information.
