In a fit of blind optimism, the owner of this 2003 GMC Envoy thought he could keep his exhaust system working with some aluminum tape, clamps, and darning twine. Yves Marceau, owner of Marceau Mécanique Auto in Saint-Damien-de-Buckland, Que., said the customer started with a base of thin aluminum sheeting and just kept wrapping the exhaust pipes in a futile effort to stop the ravages of time! As you can see, the results were less than successful.
