ZF names new North America aftermarket leader

ZF Aftermarket has announced the promotion of Steve Bashir to head of aftermarket sales for the U.S. and Canada.

In this newly created role, Bashir will oversee sales and customer service across ZF’s passenger car, commercial vehicle, and industrial independent aftermarket business lines, as well as the commercial vehicle original equipment supplier aftermarket segment.

Bashir was previously head of commercial vehicle aftermarket for North America. He led a team focused on profitable growth, full life-cycle support, and strategic customer engagement. He joined the company in August 2023 from Tenneco, where he held several leadership roles, including general manager for aftermarket braking.

“Steve’s deep experience in the aftermarket, combined with his strategic approach to supporting customers, is instrumental to our progress in becoming a more agile, customer-focused organization,” said Chris Battershell, vice president of ZF Aftermarket North America. “ZF Aftermarket is strengthening its role as a trusted partner to distributors, fleets and workshops by providing the OE-standard parts, digital tools, training and service they need to keep vehicles moving and uptime at its highest.”

Bashir will be based in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
