SMP expands undercar product line

Standard Motor Products (SMP) has announced expanded coverage across its growing Undercar product line, which now includes more than 3,500 components in nine categories. Organized into drivetrain, wheel and tire, and brake and chassis segments, the undercar components are direct‑fit replacements.

Within the drivetrain segment, the lineup features four‑wheel drive actuators, transfer case motors, transmission control solenoids, transmission input and output sensors, and vehicle speed sensors. Recent additions include ten transmission control solenoids covering more than 20 million domestic vehicles, with new applications for models such as the 2015–2024 Ford Transit, 2011-2020 Ford F‑150, and 2014-2019 Jeep Cherokee.

Several new vehicle speed sensors have also been added, expanding coverage for 2020-2025 Ford Super Duty trucks and select Acura models, including the 2016-2022 ILX and 2015-2020 TLX.

In the wheel and tire segment, SMP expanded its ABS sensor and TPMS offerings. Eighteen new ABS sensors were released, adding coverage for 3.4 million import and domestic vehicles, including the 2020-2025 Cadillac CT5, 2022-2025 Hyundai Tucson, 2020-2025 Chevrolet Corvette, and 2019-2025 Mazda 3.

“We have decades of experience designing and manufacturing sensors and actuators, so it is a natural fit for us to cover undercar systems that depend on sensors and actuators,” said John Herc, vice president of vehicle control marketing at SMP.
