Standard Motor Products has expanded its turbocharger program with the introduction of new Turbocharger Kits and related components for both gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles. The Standard® New, No-Core Turbocharger Kits are designed for import and domestic applications and include all necessary components for a complete turbo repair, such as new gaskets and fasteners.
These kits feature all-new parts, with no remanufactured components, and are backed by a three-year/36,000-mile warranty. They are also supported by SMP’s drop ship program. Recent additions include kits for the 2019–2016 Chevrolet Cruze, Buick Encore and other popular models from General Motors, Ford and Volvo. Each turbocharger undergoes rigorous lab and on-vehicle testing at SMP’s Testing Center in Texas to ensure performance and durability.
Beyond turbochargers, SMP’s program includes a wide range of supporting components such as bypass valves, coolant lines, gasket sets, hoses, intercoolers, map sensors, oil drain tubes, oil lines, filters, pressure sensors, solenoids, speed sensors, temperature sensors and actuators. Notable recent additions include Intercoolers for the 2021–2019 Ford Ranger and Turbocharger Coolant Lines for nearly four million Ford vehicles.
“We have worked hard to develop all-new, no-core, engine-specific turbo kits that include all of the components required for a complete turbo service,” said John Herc, vice president of vehicle control marketing at SMP. “These kits really save technicians time but more importantly, they help ensure a complete repair and optimize the performance of turbocharged vehicles.”
