Schumacher Electric adds new battery charger, maintainer line

Schumacher Electric Corporation has launched its Rugged by Schumacher battery charger and maintainer series.

Available under model numbers SC1677, SC1678, SC1681, SC1682, and SC1684, these units support both 6-volt and 12-volt systems with charge and maintain rates ranging from 1 to 10 amps, making them versatile for professional and everyday use.

A standout feature of the new line is its patent-pending clamp assembly with Schumacher Flex Eyelet technology. This innovative design allows clamps to convert into ring leads by removing a single screw, providing a low-profile solution for hard-to-reach terminals. Larger clamp openings and improved accessibility make battery maintenance more efficient than ever.

The chargers include advanced multi-stage charging, automatic maintenance mode, reverse hook-up protection and override mode. Each unit also offers a repair mode for reviving old or damaged batteries and a service mode for maintaining stable voltage during maintenance.

Compatible with multiple battery types, including lithium, these chargers provide flexibility and reliability across a wide range of applications.
