ProMaxx adds new Ford 6.7L broken bolt repair kit

ProMaxx Tool introduced the new Ford 6.7L Power Stroke EGR Tube Broken Bolt Repair ProKit (PMXN200PRO-008) for 2021 and newer 6.7L diesel engines. This kit features 8-millimetre hardened-steel inserts and complements the existing kit for 2011-2020 engines with 6-millimeter inserts.

The kit significantly reduces repair times by eliminating the need to remove the intake, turbo, and exhaust manifold, allowing for a 45-minute repair instead of an eight-hour replacement. This simplification reduces labor time and costs, ensuring vehicles are back on the road quickly.

Exclusive screw-in bushings and proprietary mating angles ensure perfect alignment of the ProPlate jig over the broken bolt. The ProKit includes USA-made, machine-shop-grade drill bits with four cutting edges and a split point for precise drilling.

The 12-millimetre bottoming tap minimizes breakage risk while preparing the bolt hole for ultra-torque threaded inserts. These hardened-steel, black-oxide-coated inserts are stronger than the original cast iron manifold components, ensuring a permanent fix.

The 6.7L EGR kit is available in three versions: ProKit, ProKit Plus with additional accessories, and ProKit Platinum with carbide tooling for longer-lasting performance.
