Pico Technology, maker of PicoScope oscilloscope software says the latest release of PicoScope Automotive software contains what will be one of its most popular features: the ability to search a library of waveforms uploaded by PicoScope users from around the world.
Steve Smith, automotive applications specialist at Pico Technology says, “I cannot remember how many times it would have been useful to have a comparison waveform for a circuit under test, especially when comparing camshaft / crankshaft timing. Often this would involve sifting through your own library, or ringing round colleagues in the hope you might get lucky.”
PicoScope users everywhere now have the opportunity to share experience regarding good and faulty systems across any vehicle. With over 450 waveforms already uploaded by beta testers of the new software, PicoScope is reinforcing itself as one of the most powerful diagnostic tools available in the aftermarket.
This feature is available to all users with a PicoScope 3000 Series or 4000 Series automotive scope. You can share your own waveforms to the library, enabling everyone to view, download and save your uploaded data.
Inside the Waveform Library Browser are comprehensive search options allowing you to locate a relevant waveform for a specific manufacturer or model. You can also search for a waveform using just the engine code or ECU type, allowing you to locate a relevant entry that may have been saved with different vehicle details.
