Valve covers are usually the first thing someone notices when checking out an engine. Stamped steel covers are great for the nostalgic look and die-cast aluminum ones are perfect for street-strip engines, but what if you want the hardcore race look and weight savings? Where can you get the trick fabricated aluminum style you see on professional racecars and dragsters? Proform has exactly what you need: precision-welded fabricated aluminum valve covers that are tall enough to clear practically any rocker on the market. There are two designs: one with no holes for no-holds-barred racing and a second with the traditional 1.22-inch hole and GM-designed baffle for street use (where permitted). Both versions have recessed Bow Tie and CHEVROLET emblems (inlaid with classic Chevrolet red), billet mounting rails for maximum leak resistance, and weigh approximately 45-percent less than stamped steel or die-cast aluminum covers! Proform Fabricated Aluminum Valve Covers fit Chevy small block engines from 1958 through 1986 with flange-mount bolt pattern, and come with either clear or black anodized finish to look great and resist harsh engine compartment conditions.
