TPMS tool

TPMS tool

Huf Group, supplier of tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS), has launched a Huf-branded VT56 tool, powered by ATEQ.

Huf says the VT56 is the most advanced TPMS diagnostic tool in the market.

The two global players, Huf and ATEQ, collaborated to design this fully updatable tool, the first to launch with a reinvented workflow, offering technicians powerful and unique new experiences.

“Huf VT56 is a revolutionary new tool in the TPMS industry,” said John Stratton, aftermarket sales manager for Huf North America. “Intelligent and intuitive, this is the fastest and most advanced ATEQ TPMS tool yet, and it’s been designed to adapt to technician needs.”

Huf VT56 features a simple interface on a full 4.3-inch color screen, a high-resolution colourful display, icon-driven intuitive learning and a balanced housing.  It is the first handheld tool with an available docking-station and wireless printer, allowing technicians to print reports without returning to the office. In addition, the ergonomic keypad provides a modern and easy sensor triggering and programming experience.

“Huf VT56 offers easy navigation and read-out results, which save time and money for repair shops,” Stratton said.

With Huf VT56, it’s easy to accurately activate and decode all major TPMS universal sensors, store sensor data, display data and identify sensor faults. For sensors requiring position change acknowledgement, the included OBDII connector allows users to transfer the information to the vehicle to reset the ECU when a sensor is replaced or wheel position is changed. In addition, the tool includes a barcode scanner, which allows for quick vehicle identification.

Huf VT56 is available with just the tool and OBDII connector or in the full kit with tool, OBDII connector, docking station, and thermal printer. Both tool selections come with USB PC cable, power adapter, update software and Quickstart user manual in a hard carry case. Through November 7, 2014, those who purchase the Huf VT56 set receive three years of free updates.
