Purolator Filters has launched its premium Purolator PureONE oil filter with a unique 100 percent grip control feature that keeps fingers from slipping and makes installation trouble-free at any angle. At 99.9 percent efficiency, PureONE provides the aftermarket the highest Micronic filtration efficiency available. It is also engineered to trap up to 13 grams of microscopic contaminants (equal to 13 standard size paper clips) including dirt, metal shavings and insect parts. “At Purolator, our goal is to provide our customers with quality products that also deliver the best value and are easy to use,” said Ramon Nunez, Director of Filtration for Robert Bosch LLC, joint venture owner of Purolator. In addition, the premium Purolator PureONE oil filter’s PTFE-treated sealing gasket makes installation and removal easy and problem-free. With manufacturing already underway, the premium Purolator PureONE oil filter with its unique grip control feature will start to become available in a couple of weeks in the North American market. “We expect to be shipping 100 percent new PureONE by the middle of April,” Nunez said. Inventor of the automotive oil filter in 1923, Purolator has, since then, pioneered more than 40 ‘firsts’ in the filtration industry. In fact, the first automotive oil filter was called a ‘Purolator,’ short for ‘pure oil later.’
