Battery brochure

EnerSys has just published a new multi-fold brochure with information on its entire range of high-performance Odyssey starting, lighting and ignition (SLI) batteries. The catalog describes the extensive family of batteries, designed for personal watercraft, ATVs, snowmobiles, motorcycles, automobiles, SUVs, light trucks, construction vehicles, and tractor trailers. The 12-panel brochure features a chart showing the advantages of Odyssey technology over conventional battery technology. Also included in the brochure is a complete specification chart, including five-second pulse current, cold and hot start, performance, nominal capacity at the 10- and 20-hour rates, product dimensions, terminal type, torque specifications, internal resistance, terminal layouts and short circuit current. Advantages include an eight- to 12-year design life; a three- to 10-year service life; Drycell electrolyte technology that prevents acid spills and allows Odyssey batteries to be shipped by UPS or by air; a two-year storage life before needing charging; and a slow loss of power at the end of the batterys life that does not cause catastrophic failure that may leave the user stranded. The brochure also describes Odysseys eight- to 12-year design life, which saves users time and money due to less frequent battery replacement; the batterys superior vibration resistance; and its longer storage life. Odyssey batteries can be installed in any orientation (except inverted) without sacrificing performance. They provide both deep cycle and high cranking power with fast charge capability.
