Shell Lubricants has added a new full synthetic engine oil for pickup trucks and SUVs. Shell Rotella Gas Truck oil is designed for protecting towing and hauling vehicles and comes in three viscosity grades: 0W-20, 5W-20 and 5W-30 beginning in January in the U.S. and in May in Canada. The oil will be available in 1 quart, 5 quart and ecobox in the U.S. and 5 litre in Canada. All three grades of the oil are formulated to provide wear protection in extreme conditions, such as heavy hauling, towing, extreme temperatures and off-road. The synthetic base oil delivers added oxidation stability, improved volatility and low-temperature properties. Shell Rotella Gas Truck is recommended for use in gasoline-powered pick-up trucks and SUVs and approved for use in Ford, GM, Ram and Toyota gas-powered vehicles.
