Gates water pumps are recognized in the industry for their durability and superior quality. Every Gates water pump is constructed with premium alloy materials and a 100% functional test of seals and bearings along with a 100% leakage test for both the casting and assembled water pump.
OE manufacturers are moving towards electric water pumps in many hybrid and turbo applications.
There are several reasons for this change, including:
*Electric water pumps are driven off electricity instead of loadbearing belt drives, improving fuel economy
*Digital sensors monitor coolant flow and activate when the system is in need of cooling
*Electric water pumps provide more efficient sectional cooling around the engine, hybrid and electric batteries, turbos, and heating systems
Contamination can still affect an electric water pump, so Gate’s recommends to properly flush the entire system of all contaminants using the Gates Powerclean Flush Tool (# 91002) prior to installing the new pump.
Gates says it is committed to selling the highest quality new, never remanufactured, water pumps in the aftermarket. Our end goal is to provide our customers with worry-free operation for the life of their vehicle.
