The Snap-on DHP1 Wheel Hub Removal Adaptor for Dodge vehicles is not only a time saver, but also a money maker. A job that could take hours can now be completed in one-third of the time using the DHP1, giving service technicians more time to work on other repairs.
“Our DHP1 Wheel Hub Removal Adaptor makes the difficult task of removing front hubs on 2500 and 3500 series Dodge pickups seem effortless,” said Brian Woller, product manager for Snap-on. “A job that normally requires three hours of labour time utilizing a sledge hammer, slide hammer and torch can now be done in an hour or less.”
To use the Snap-on DHP1, service technicians should place one end of the DHP1 over the hub bolt and place a bent tip pry bar between the other end of the tool and the vehicle’s frame. By applying leverage to the DHP1, the hub breaks loose without the potential damage that heat and hammers can cause.
“When a tech has to use a torch on a very stuck hub, the wheel bearing and seal could get damaged. Not so with the DHP1,” said Woller. “By using the DHP1, Snap-on customers will no longer have broken rotors because they used a sledge hammer to remove the wheel hub and, since there is no need for a heavy slide hammer, they will save wear and tear on their backs.”
