Mahle adds input filters for EVs

Mahle adds input filters for EVs

Mahle is boosting its offering to be a key supplier of high-voltage charging technologies for electric vehicles in the international aftermarket. As registrations of battery-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles continue to rise globally, Mahle said it is responding to the increased demand for maintenance and repair solutions in automotive workshops.

The first products in the company’s new aftermarket portfolio will be input filters, launching in October 2025, followed by onboard chargers at the end of the year. These components are sourced directly from Mahle’s original equipment manufacturing and meet stringent quality standards. Initial applications will include Renault, Peugeot, Citroën, DS, and Opel models, with additional high-voltage components and power electronics expected throughout the coming year.

Input filters protect high-voltage batteries and charging electronics from overvoltage peaks and unwanted signals during charging. Onboard chargers convert alternating current (AC) from the grid into direct current (DC) for storage in the vehicle’s battery. Like other electronic components, high-voltage parts are subject to wear from aging, vibration, moisture, and heat—making them increasingly relevant in the aftermarket.
