Ideal supply acquires Wallaceburg Automotive

Southwestern Ontario distributor Ideal Supply has acquired Wallaceburg Automotive, including its NAPA Auto Parts locations in Chatham and Ridgetown.

The addition of these stores boosts Ideal Supply’s presence to 39 stores in the region.

Wallaceburg Automotive has been a cornerstone of its communities for 49 years, built on a legacy of exceptional service and strong local ties by previous owners Dave and Jean Elliott.

“Ideal Supply’s clear commitment to our employees and customers made this an easy decision,” said Dave Elliott. “They have the vision to take our stores to the next level, and our customers, employees, and community will truly benefit. Ideal Supply is a great company with a great team and a very bright future.”

Ideal Supply dates back to 1926 as a family-run business with deep roots in the automotive and electrical industries.

“We are incredibly excited about the future in Wallaceburg, Chatham and Ridgetown,” said Chris Moon, general operations manager at Ideal Supply. “The Wallaceburg Automotive team has cultivated a great culture and a thriving business, and we look forward to building on that success for years to come.”
