FDP Virginia has achieved International Automotive Task Force (IATF) 16949 Certification for its Tappahannock, Virginia manufacturing facility.

The Tappahannock manufacturing campus is comprised of over 600,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space that produces disc brake pads and drum brake shoes.

IATF 16949 is a quality management system standard for the automotive industry. The primary focus of the standard is continual improvement, defect prevention and reducing variation and waste in the supply chain.

“IATF 16949 certification is not easy to get” said Jack Carney President and CEO of FDP. “It involves commitment by everyone in the organization. We are very proud of this achievement.”
