E.R.I. Group honours top performers, milestones at AGM

The E.R.I. Group hosted its 2025 annual general meeting and directors meeting at in Calgary recently.

Following the Saturday business sessions at the Fairmont Palliser Hotel, members, alumni, staff and invited guests gathered for an evening reception and dinner, where chairman Rick Miller and president Bill Hay presented awards recognizing outstanding performance and long-standing contributions.

Melling Engine Parts accepted the award for achieving the highest sales growth. The V. Barclay Upton Memorial Award was presented to Doug Hall, recognized as the highest-performing E.R.I. service team member.

Order Desk Person of the Year went to Rob Wagner, I.P.W. Edmonton’s warehouse manager, which is a member-voted honour. Sales Rep of the Year was awarded to Doug Hall, marking his second recognition of the evening.

Tenure awards:
  • Rob Wagner was recognized for five years of service.
  • Fred Klotz (F.A.K. Automotive, Drayton Valley, Alberta) and Jim Zimmer (Northeast Engine Ltd., Melfort, Saskatchewan) were honoured for 20 years of membership.
  • Frank Fortin (Alberta Cylinder Head and Engine Rebuilders, Edmonton) was acknowledged for five years.
Quarter Million Club

Members that reached or exceeded $250,000 in E.R.I. purchases were:

  • Almax Engine Rebuilders Ltd. (Red Deer, Alberta) – Logan Vass
  • Northeast Engine Ltd. (Melfort, Saskatchewan) – Jim Zimmer
  • Powerhouse Machining Ltd. (Edmonton, Alberta) – Ryan Brewster
  • Total Engine Services Ltd. (Peace River, Alberta) – Larry Doll
  • Powerhouse Precision Engines Inc. (Saanichton, British Columbia) – Evan Jennings

The Guild Club, which recognizes members exceeding $500,000 in purchases, went to Beatty & Woods Ltd. (Mississauga, Ontario) and owner and operator Charles Beatty.
