GM Vortec Engine

Jasper Engines & Transmissions has added the GM Vortec 2900 (2.9L 4-Cylinder) to its line of remanufactured gas engines. The engine is available for 2007-2011 Chevy Colorado, 2007-2011 GMC Canyon, and 2007-2009 Isuzu i-290. “This engine will include a new variable valve timing (VVT) actuator gear, a qualified or new crankshaft balancer and graphite-coated pistons,” says Chip Helderman of Jasper’s new product development department. All Jasper reman engines are disassembled, inspected and cleaned, moving parts are machined or replaced as necessary, head surfaces are statistically monitored for proper sealing with the block, and Jasper’s R&D ensures inherent problems in OEM design are corrected. Each engine is covered by JASPER’s 3-Year/100,000 mile nationwide transferable parts and labor warranty. Full warranty disclosure is available on our website or upon request.
