OTC has introduced its new Crimpwell Angled Crimping Plier (P/N 5912), providing a new angle to work with exposed wires in hard to reach locations.
"Conventional crimper designs can often make a simple crimp even more difficult because the technician has to fight access to the location as well as the tool itself," said Dirk Skogerboe, aftermarket product manager, Professional Specialty Tools at Service Solutions, LLC. "The innovative design of the NEW 5912 Crimpwell Angled Crimping Plier from OTC, makes crimping connectors easier than ever – and is especially valuable where wire service is compromised by limited access."
Developed by a hands-on service professional, the angled design (patent applied for) keeps the connector parallel to the pliers – improving the ability to insure wire is properly seated in the connector as well as securing a durable, robust crimp. The universal crimping design accommodates soft wire insulated or un-insulated – solid or stranded in sizes 10 – 22 AWG. A cutting feature is included for quicker preparation. Forged from high carbon alloy steel, the 9" (228mm) length – and protective grip – increase leverage and ensure a secure crimp.
The NEW 5912 Crimpwell from OTC is great for crimping wire connections to fuse and relay panels, vehicle sensor systems, injector harness and coil pack systems and along inside fenders and firewalls in the engine compartment. The NEW 5912 Crimpwell™ is also great for under dash – ignition, instrumentation, and fuse panel wiring. Great for power seat controls, safety belt sensors and heating service, behind door panels for lock/unlock modules and window control service. Also, great for tail light service in, or under the trunk, as well as back-upcameras and trailer wiring modules.
