
The Automotive Industries Association of Canada is now accepting nominations for two of its most prestigious hours, as well as applications for its board of directors.
The Distinguished Service Award is AIA Canada’s highest honour, recognizing an individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, made significant contributions to the growth of the auto care sector and provided meaningful service to the industry.
Bob Jaworski, president and CEO of Auto Electric Service Ltd., took home the honour for 2025.

The Young Leader of the Year Award, presented by the Young Professionals in the Auto Care Sector (YPA) community, celebrates an industry professional under 45 who exemplifies leadership and innovation, contributes to the industry or community and actively volunteers with AIA Canada.
Kari Hann, marketing and digital communications manager at Specialty Sales & Marketing Inc., was recognized in 2025.

Both awards will be presented at AIA Canada’s Canadian Auto Care Industry Conference on March 4 in Toronto.
Applications are also open for the AIA Canada board of directors. Board members play a key role in shaping the association’s strategic direction and advancing the national auto care industry. Ideal candidates demonstrate strong leadership and strategic thinking, have prior volunteer experience, preferably with AIA Canada. and can commit to attending at least three board meetings per year.
