Wrenchead Torques Down Acquisition of MacDonald Computer Systems

Wrenchead, Inc. a leader in automotive aftermakret on-line e-commerce facilities has announced that it has completed its acquisition and subsequent merger of Valencia, California-based MacDonald Computer Systems, Inc.
Wrenchead supplies e-commerce enabling software and electronic catalog solutions to distribution-related industries. MacDonald Computer Systems is a leading provider of electronic parts catalogs, integrated distribution software, and e-business technology.
As a combined firm, Wrenchead and MacDonald products and services are used by over half of the top 50 distributors in the automotive aftermarket and over 20 Fortune 500 customers. Products are specialized for use by manufacturers, warehouse distributors, jobbers, and service dealers.
The acquisition will create the industry’s fastest growing next generation electronic catalog as well as create a single source of technology solutions for customers, according to the companies.
