WORLDPAC STX conference draws 1500 to Dallas-area convention centre

Event combined industry-leading training, a comprehensive trade show, multiple networking opportunities, and plenty of entertainment.

Attendees at WORLDPAC’s fourth Supplier Training and Expo (STX) conference near Dallas, Texas got a chance to mix work with pleasure last week.

More than 1,500 people enjoyed industry-leading training, a comprehensive trade show, multiple networking opportunities, and plenty of entertainment at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Tex.

There was a wealth of management and technical training, presented by independent trainers, OE manufacturers, and the WORLDPAC Training Institute (WTI). Technical topics ranged from latest diagnostic challenges, to specifics on the new BMW engine, to software solutions. Managers got the perspective of professional speakers with real-life shop experiences as they discussed everything from exit strategies, to selling diagnostics, to becoming a visionary leader.

06-Worldpac-6617The host city of Dallas was appropriate considering WORLDPAC’S recent opening of a 500,000-square-foot distribution center in the Flower Mound area, serving the Texas branch network and its surrounding regions.

The company’s Texas sales offices are also located there.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by WORLDPAC management, the WORLDPAC Training Institute (WTI), brand managers representing premium suppliers and manufacturers, leaders from the local business development council and aftermarket industry media.

WORLDPAC has over 120 locations throughout North America and Puerto Rico. This is the fifth United States based DC for the company.
