Women’s Leadership Conference wants you to “rev up” your leadership

AIA Canada and Auto Care Women’s Leadership Summer Conference is scheduled for Aug. 7 – 8 in at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center and will include two keynote speakers, Judi Holler and Melissa Marshall.

Judi Holler

Judi Holler, author, speaker, and a professionally trained improviser and alumni of The Second City’s Conservatory in Chicago will focus on transforming fear into a powerful weapon.

Holler says “I believe real change happens when you have no idea how you are going to do something, when you actually believe you can’t do something but you do it anyway.  Taking action and managing fear is your super power if you want to stay relevant in the crowded and noisy marketplace that you live and work in. And action requires focus. Habits that last and the courage to put yourself out there.”

Melissa Marshall

Melissa Marshall, communications teacher at Penn University, will focus is presentations, how to present a clear and compelling idea that inspires people to act and break down language barriers. Marshall’s TED talk relates to using communications from scientists and engineers to change the world.   See Marshall’s TED talk HERE.

The conference offers over nine educational events for professional development, four industry updates, and over seven networking receptions and breakout sessions.

Continuing education units credits can be earned towards professional designations.
