Automotive Parts Distributors (APD) recently presented Veyance Technologies with its coveted Vendor Partner of the Year Award during its annual Celebration of Excellence and Golf Tournament in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada.
“APD is a significant distributor of belts, tensioners, hose & accessories, and a key marketing partner in Western Canada,” said Rey Koop, regional sales manager for Veyance Technologies Canada, Inc. “This is a tremendous honour and major accomplishment, we have partnered together over 12 years and we look forward to growing our relationship into the future.”
APD’s origins date back to 1981 and it has evolved into what is known today as one of the most well respected distributors in the Canadian Aftermarket, with offices in Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, and Red Deer.
“The criteria we utilize in order to choose Vendor Partner of the Year includes product quality, service, order fill, field representation and support,” said Cyril Fortney, president of APD. “The most underlying factor for our choice of Veyance Technologies was due to their consistency in product quality, order fill and inventory management. Rey and his team of territory managers ensure that our warehouses and our clients have the right selection of inventory and professional support to meet their daily needs. They have certainly exceeded our expectations in all areas, and I would like to personally thank Rey Koop, Dale Cleghorn, and Cory Paradis for stepping up and doing whatever was necessary to help us all achieve our goals.”
Charity Fundraiser
In addition to the Vendor Partner of the Year Award, over $8,800 was raised during the charity golf tournament. The recipients, Canadian Cancer Society and Child Find, have received a grand total of over $70,000 from the annual charity golf tournament which commenced in 2001.
Of special note, was APD client and guest speaker Stacey Gustafson who wanted to express in her words what Bob Greenwood and his business development courses have done for her. A video of her and her words is available on the home page at www.aaec.ca (from the home page scroll down and hit play to view).
